This project was one of the first with Standard Construction, Studio Kap and _BCC collaboration. Studio Kap designed this house to cantilever over the loch and the building has major detailing to all facades, Due to the location it was a challenging project, 18 miles outside Oban at least there was some local knowledge in the form of Surveyor Derek Robertson who spent his High School years in Oban.

 

Ahead of its time this project used a ground source heat pump to power the heating system as well as an artesian well to provide fresh drinking water. The level of detail in this house was extremely high with amazing views suited to the family as its beach location allow the outgoing family access on their front door to water sports. The cantilever design of the "sea room" allows sitting looking out over the water on those days it is too chilly to venture into the water.
