B.C.C. were recently involved in a very complicated exercise to find the most cost effective method of preparing a site for a development. This work involved analysing every possible type of retaining wall structure including ground treatment works. The project also involved an intensive desk top study to reach the equilibrium of removing ground from the site and building the retaining walls higher, this was also coupled with the feasibility of the solution on the very restricted site. The final solution saved the client approximately £200k. compared to the initial scheme.
